Description
Horace the Donkey
Original painting size is 11″ X 14″
Created on Legion Paper Stonehenge Aqua 140lb CP watercolor paper with #brusho. I use only three colors – Yellow Ochre, OST Blue and Violet. Love how the colors mix. This is an original painting, it is signed. I want to thank my friend PJ for naming this one.
Here is PJ’s story on how we named this piece.
“I have a story to go with the name Horace…I got talked into substituting for a missing player in a charity basketball game…on donkeys! I had such fun, and Horace, my donkey partner was very cooperative considering I had never ridden a short fat donkey….Horace worse special non skid “sneaker type shoes” so we didn’t go kerplunk on the floor. We never made a basket, but we were fabulous at blocking the opposing players, mostly because Horace went pretty much went where Horace wanted and not necessarily where I directed him. I played to the crowds in the stand to encourage Horace to play well …we had lots of fun…and begged for more donations that started raining down from the stands…Horace likes 1 dollar bills, Horace likes 5 dollar bills…and on and on it went.”
The watermark is not on original painting. Colors may vary from what you are seeing on your screen.
